About Us
Welcome to NM CMA Consulting LLC. Our company assists healthcare facilities with Certified Medication Aide Programs in New Mexico. We are an as-needed consulting agency. We assist with NM Board of Nursing Surveys and help maintain your program to meet the Board of Nursing requirements.
As New Mexico continues to experience a nurse shortage, our company can help assist with the stability of your program. Centers throughout NM experience high turnover rates for nurses for multiple reasons, putting your CMA program at risk. Our goal is to ensure compliance within your CMA program at all times. Regardless of whether you have had the same nurse educator for years or a brand new staff member, we will help guide your nurse educator to a successful program.
The Medication Aide Advisory Committee with the NMBON helps regulate CMA programs throughout the state. Programs are required to send certain documents and reports to maintain compliance. Our company will assist with creating pertinent documentation needed by the NMBON and verifying that it has been sent promptly.
CMAs in the healthcare setting can be a massive asset to your facilities. They help alleviate nurse burden by allowing nurses to focus on more pertinent matters. The primary focus of a CMA is to administer medications and uphold the policies and procedures of your pharmacy, including returning medications for credit and making sure you are Department of Health Survey ready.
NM CMA Consulting utilizes education directed at the CMA. Education was specifically created to address the scope of function and job duties. Empowering the CMA at your facility is vital to us. With education and implementation, we can reduce medication citations issued by the Department of Health and reduce pharmacy costs.
